Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) is a public French university with international standing. Its reputation is built in part on the quality of its programs, its research on social concerns and its creative innovations. The main UQAM campus is in downtown Montréal. UQAM also serves students on four other sites in the greater metropolitan area: Lanaudière, Laval, Longueuil and the West Island.

A dynamic and innovative university, UQAM offers some 320 undergraduate and graduate programs in six faculties (Arts, Communications, Political Science and Law, Science, Education and Social Sciences) and at the business management school, École des sciences de la gestion.
