Marie Côté

Marie Côté, head of business development in the francophone market (Quebec and Europe) at Rodeo FX, will continue development in film, television and advertising while also providing strategic support to the communications team.

Working in the field of communications for over 25 years, Marie Côté has held various  management positions in marketing, creation and advertising and television production. During her more than 10 years with the CBC, she served on the executive board of the French service of Radio-Canada, headed ARTV and, in 2012, created and launched EXPLORA, a nature, science and technology TV network.

Early in her career, she served as Director of Communications and Marketing at the National Bank. In 1997, she cofounded Productions J and has produced hundreds of Entertainment TV shows.

She was also director of creation for TV and Cinema at Cirque du Soleil and won an Emmy Prize in 2002 as executive producer for the series Fire Within.

Involved in the cultural and media circles, she has served on numerous boards (Ex Centris, Cinémathèque québécoise, National Film and Television Council of the SODEC).

She is a certified administrator from Université Laval and a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Mrs Côté is a film and communications studies graduate of Université de Montréal in film and communications studies. Her master's research work focused on human-computer interface.
