Pierre André received his Software Engineering diploma in 2006 at the École de technologie supérieure in Montréal. In 2014, he completed a Ph.D. in Software Engineering with the Semantics and Cognitive Engineering Laboratory (SceLab) at the École de technologie supérieure. His researches target semi-automatized extraction and modeling of business knowledge useful to software engineering projects from natural language based internal business documents.

He worked for 15 years as a consultant with many businesses on key roles such as software project manager, software quality supervisor and system and functional analyst. He accomplished mandates on technology watch, development effort estimation, semi-formal software modeling of business rule with OCL and software quality management. He also worked on a variety of projects like data warehouse, data mining from social networks, business intelligence and enterprise software framework. His research interests are applying artificial intelligence, data mining and natural language processing techniques to software engineering projects, big data and the semantic analysis of business documents.
