The countdown has begun: CRIM’s Crystall Ball will feature 25 world-renowned guest speakers

For the seventh consecutive year, the IT industry and the business community will be well represented at CRIM’s Crystal Ball conference, Quebec’s largest IT-related gathering. The event will feature approximately 25 world-renowned guest speakers sharing their knowledge in three key areas:

  • Mobility: impacts on our lives and business growth
  • Social networks: new strategic tools
  • Creating the intelligent planet of tomorrow, today

The guest speakers include Tom Jenkins, Executive Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of Open Text, in addition to Clara Shih, founder and CEO of Hearsay Labs and author of the bestseller The Facebook Era: Tapping Online Social Networks to Build Better Products, Reach New Audiences and Sell More Stuff, which addresses the Facebook and Twitter phenomena from a business perspective. During her talk, Ms. Shih will also provide examples of how using social networks can create value added for businesses and help strengthen their bottom line.

Other speakers from a wide variety of backgrounds will be taking part in this major event, including Yannis Mallat, CEO of Ubisoft’s Montreal and Toronto studios; Patrick Chanezon, Developer Relations Manager, Client and Cloud Advocacy Teams at Google; and Jim Carroll, prolific author, columnist, consultant, futurist and trends/innovation expert. In addition, Jennifer Stoddart, Canada’s Privacy Commissioner, will be giving a key presentation on privacy and the online social revolution—a major issue for the IT industry of today and tomorrow.
