Even though Sakai-Quebec has ceased operations, CRIM continues to offer Sakai and its services to all organizations wishing to experiment with this platform. In 2009-2010, CRIM carried out various Sakai and OSP (Sakai’s ePortfolio) experimentation and implementation projects with Victoriaville CEGEP, the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Medicine, Laval School Board and the University of Montreal. CRIM also offers Sakai evaluation spaces, as well as training and demonstrations. Sakai-Quebec was a non-profit organization working to promote the Sakai collaboration and digital learning environment and to foster the development of open code source-based freeware meeting educational standards in the areas of online training and skills development. Sakai VanilleSakai Vanille is a Sakai 2.4 distribution platform developed by Sakai-Québec. Sakai Vanille offers tools and services specially designed to meet the needs of francophone organizations and to ensure a compact, streamlined and more easily maintainable product. CRIM has all of the tools needed to test the platform and master it rapidly.
