Watch activities are extremely important for our Development and Internet Technologies team. Here are its latest publications (available in French only):

  • Tour d'horizon du framework UIMA, Unstructured Information Management Architecture (PDF 615 KB) UIMA, which IBM turned into Open Source, proposes a composition of several analysis technologies to stock, resort, scan and discover unstructured data knowledge.
  • Étude des frameworks UIMA, Gate et OpenNLP (PDF 302 KB) Several new frameworks have recently made it possible to analyse large volumes of unstructured information in order to discover, organize and share knowledge. This study examines three of these frameworks: IBM’s UIMA (Unstructured Information Management Architecture), GATE (General Architecture of Text Engineering) and OpenNLP (Open Natural Language Processing).
  • Interopérabilité (PDF 234 KB) Study findings on architecture and standards that ensure interoperability with other platforms.
  • Solutions en logiciels libres pour la gestion des bibliothèques (PDF 383 KB) A summary of possible Open Source solutions for library management.
  • Log4J et JUnit (PDF 1,2 MB) As part of its mission to provide technological guidance, the team promotes a collection of best development practices. This document looks at the use of Log4J and JUnit.
  • SWT (PDF 398 KB) An overview of SWT (Standard Widget Toolkit), the new library Java has proposed for graphical user interface.
  • Le Modèle Open Source (PDF 246 KB) The team is very involved in the Open Source world, particularly in the MILLE project. This presentation, given at a CRIM IT dinner, shows a business model based on the communities and founding principles of Open Source.
