Funding for Research and Development (R&D)

Under certain conditions, companies conducting Research and Development (R&D) in conjunction with CRIM can access various funding programs. Here are the primary programs:

Alliance numérique and CED - Multimedia Experimentation Fund

A joint initiative between Canada Economic Development for Québec Regions (CED) and the Alliance NumériQC, the Multimedia Experimentation Fund offers pre-startup support for entrepreneurs with multimedia projects.

CANARIE

CANARIE (Canada's advanced Internet development organization) works to develop and operate the next generation of research networks and their applications and services.

MDEIE – Assistance program for businesses

The Ministère du Développement économique, Innovation et Exportation (MDEIE) offers an assistance program for businesses. Sections relevant to the IT sector are: technical validation, technological showcasing and employment in research and innovation.

NRC-IRAP

The National Research Council's (NRC) Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) offers small and medium enterprises (SME) support for innovation.

Precarn-CRIM Alliance

The Precarn-CRIM Alliance fund is aimed at helping Québec-based small businesses develop new products and services that incorporate intelligent systems in conjunction with other partners.
