Text/dialog synchronization for postsynchronization and dubbing

Summary: This project aimed at the creation of a vocal alignment technology and to its integration into an existing postsynchronization and dubbing system for Ryscho Media (became DubSynchro, now called Indekso). This company specializes in dubbing for cinema and television.

  • OCTAS Award 2003: Technological Innovation (200 employees or less) awarded to Ryshco Media inc. for the dubStudio project.

Indekso inc. is a pioneer of digital dubbing thanks to dubStudio®, a product derived from one of the first technological transfers from CRIM to a private corporation. During the last 15 years, this product has been used by the Canadian film industry for audio post-production and has thus contributed to the production of hundreds of films, tv series and advertisements.

Today, Indekso offers postproduction solutions and services in the fields of dubbing, automated dialog replacement (ADR), voice over and video description (provided through a technology born at CRIM). CRIM its its main R-D partner.
