Development of a conceptual navigation prototype for easy access to document collections


Summary: CRIM has developed a conceptual navigation prototype that enables easy exploration of a mass of documents by providing access to the various related terms contained in these documents.

No pre-annotation of the documents is necessary: everything is done automatically through natural language processing techniques. First, the important terms in each document are automatically discovered, and then semantically-related terms are discovered and linked. It is then possible to navigate from one term to its related terms and to quickly access the documents containing these terms.
