Computer accessibility (e-Accessibility)

A true pioneer in the field, our team has for several years now been applying video analysis towards improving the accessibility of multimedia content to the visually and hearing impaired population. In close collaboration with the different organizations committed to aiding these individuals, we have created a set of techniques and tools for the computer-assisted production and broadcasting of video descriptions and closed-captions. A case in point is the automatic detection of actors, texts and locations to allow for automating part of the video description, in addition to assisting in the positioning and formatting of the captions.

Related technologies: Software for the automatic positioning of captions, computer-assisted production of video descriptions, accessible and adaptable DVD player synchronous with external video descriptions.
