Last Wednesday, CRIM buzzed to the rhythm of a day rich in discoveries, exchanges and smiles. First thing in the morning, artificial intelligence enthusiasts gathered for our AI Breakfast, a unique opportunity to discuss technical issues over a cup of coffee.
Beyond ChatGPT: what language processing can really do for your business
This year’s edition of the AI Breakfasts showcased concrete feedback from projects in automatic natural language processing (NLP).
Marc Queudot, Practice Leader, Language Science and Technology at CRIM, shared his lessons learned, discussed the essential criteria for launching a language project in the generative era, and explained how to evaluate its success.

The event was also an opportunity to exchange ideas directly with CRIM experts and network with other industry professionals. CRIM is proud to have Bell as a presentation partner for the AI Breakfasts, a unique initiative designed to make artificial intelligence more accessible to Canadian businesses.
CRIM from inside and AGM
Then it was time to open the doors to CRIM from the inside: a unique opportunity to discover our projects, our expertise and the faces behind the innovation. Visits to our labs, demonstrations, spontaneous encounters… there was plenty to talk about!

TheAnnual General Meeting then brought together our members and partners to review the highlights of the year, punctuated by inspiring discussions on the future of CRIM and applied research.
See our 2024-2025 annual report for a complete overview of our achievements.
CRIM’s annual BBQ
And to round off this memorable day, what could be better than a dusk BBQ?

Festive atmosphere, barbecues, music and sunset: the perfect moment to celebrate what unites us.

It was also an opportunity to unveil the broad outlines of CRIM’s 40th anniversary programming – and to test participants’ knowledge with a fun quiz on the center’s history and projects.

Thank you to everyone who made the day a success!
