About
A force to be reckoned with in forestry, Groupements forestiers Québec is a not-for-profit organization representing 35 member groups and 27,500 private forest owners. Common management, intensive and efficient management, as well as sustainable development are the principles that guide its actions and aim to promote the creation of wealth for the benefit of all regions.
Formerly known as the Regroupement des sociétés d'aménagement forestier du Québec (RESAM), the organization supports its members primarily through the development of high-performance IT tools and the recognition of the Groupement forestier business model. Its support also extends to forest certification, training, workforce development, wildlife and multi-resource management, etc. Membership of Groupements forestiers is voluntary. Together with the Fédération québécoise des coopératives forestières (FQCF), Groupements forestiers Québec also owns Éditions forestières, which produces the newspaper Le monde forestier.
